Saltillo

On the Road Again...
Anyone want some "ajo" (garlic) for the road?

So today we decided to take yet another road trip. We picked West as the direction, and drove about 86km until we hit the town of Saltillo, in the state of Coahuila. It's actually the oldest city in the North or Northeast region of Mexico, and had an awesome downtown! Old buildings, stereotypical Mexicans (weathered old men with cowboy hats and boots and shiny belt buckles), and lots of action. Most people bypass it, but if you're in the Northeast, it's probably one of the better cities to stop in for "real" Mexican culture.

Beautiful mountains that we drove through.

In the heart of Saltillo

How many taco stands can you fit in a tiny market?
(More than you could want!)

One of the miniature taco stands in the market.
Question: Where does he keep the raw meat??

A better picture of the street, without our heads.

A produce "stand" in the market.

Anyone need toilet paper or diapers?
