(Above left): Bus stop in Japan – each of the lines represents a different bus. The yellow circles indicate where the bus is. It’ll move as the bus approaches. For example, the yellow circles on the bottom show that those two buses are approaching.
(Above right): Unagi (eel) restaurants abound in Kyoto – like this one, but my expression shows the disappointment of not having enough time to eat there. Boo.
Left to right: Vending machines, selling almost everything, are everywhere in Japan; Kris & Kaeden in front of a gun supply store – there were a ton of guns readily available!
Left to right: Mos Burger in Japan; McD’s in Japan – a McChicken combo was 620 Yen – about $7 CDN; You can’'t help but love the cultural sensitivity of Mickey D’s - “Bacon and Potato Pie” was advertised.
(Above) The restaurant had a large drawing of a cow and all its wonderful edible parts. It also had a colour poster showing all the cuts of meat you can get for your Shabu-Shabu. Too bad it was all in Japanese – I would’ve liked to gain this knowledge.
Left to right: Kyoto loves me – many of their taxi brands had a heart with “MK” in the middle; Our favourite sign during our entire trip: “We closed a store today” – It was 8pm or so, and I think it meant that the store was closed for the day, and not a sad farewell to another branch! :)
