Kyoto Mania - Day 1

Here's what happens when you go to a Bible Study here - you end up in Japan.

So I went to Bible Study two Thursdays again, and somehow two women ended up talking me into going to Kyoto. So I look up the tickets, and they were so cheap... and Kris has always wanted to go.

So over the October Break, off we went!

We arrived at night into Osaka, and immediately hopped onto the Haruka Express to Kyoto. We spent the first two nights at a Ryokan.

The first thing we saw as we got off the

train - the tower of Kyoto Tower Hotel.

We arrived at Watazen Ryokan, which wasn't really

very nice, but Kaeden loved being able to roll and

crawl everywhere! Here are our beds!

Of course, what trip would be complete without good food?

We immediately went for a walk at about 10pm, and found

this AMAZING place for Ramen next door. The best part?

One of the waiters spoke English, so we could figure out what

to order. It was so good that I'm still dreaming about it.

This is the restaurant. I took photos of it so if we ever go back, I can find it again. It's on the same street as Watazen Ryokan if you are heading towards the Nishiki Food Market.
