Butterflies & YWAM

Butterflies Galore

I've been thinking about the word butterflies a lot lately. There are butterflies everywhere right now. Why do you suppose they're called butterflies? Maybe they glide around so effortlessly and lightly - like melted butter? Thoughts to ponder - the wonders of the human brain.

The monarchs are slowly migrating down to Mexico. I think they're travelling through Monterrey on their way down to their winter haven near Morelia, Mexico. There are also a lot of yellow butterflies coming our way too. They are just gorgeous - flittering and floating around like snow flurries, only bigger and warmer.

A monarch.

We went to a natural park, La Parque Estanzuela, in Monterrey yesterday - right beside our campus, to see more of these butterflies. I didn't know I liked butterflies so much.

We went to YWAM after our nature exploration. Yep! We found the YWAM base here in Monterrey - we took a little tour of the building, and hope to help out with their missions here sometime soon. DTS, anyone?
