...The Little Things DO Matter!
We're just thinking back over our year here thus far, and are so thankful for the little things... here's our list:
- having access to photocopiers (and not having to go through the perpetually late copy guy)
- having access to supplies (and actually being able to get more than 2 pieces of paper a month)
- on-time cable guys (one day lag time vs. one month in Mexico!)
- on-time gas guys
- lights in the hallway (not having to climb up and down stairs in the dark)
- roads with many possibilities of retornos
- real Chinese food!!! (even though the one Chinese restaurant in Monterrey was good...)
- knowing what's going on at school
- knowing all the kids in the school
- no "access denied" on children's and social justice websites
- control over when our classes can use the computer lab (and what they do when they're there!)
- warm weather! (though we complained about the 10C weather a few weeks ago.. :))
