Mini-Olympics

Ready, Set, Go!

The school had its "Mini-Olympics" today - not organized by any of the regular teachers. We showed up, expecting track and field type events. Nope, just a lot of work put into preparing for four obstacle courses (for all students) and a 25m dash for 8 students (of the 200+!). It was fun nonetheless, but why, oh why, all that paper and decor for 1 hour???

An obstacle course, with a full force of parental cheerleaders.

There was an olympic torch and everything!

Our cheer - made by one of my 8 year olds:
"I don't know but I hear, 2A Sharks are great, We'll win the
Mini-Olympics, and have the victory!"

My class, lined up and geared up!

The aftermath.

Blue-tinted hair and all - lots of spirit!

Kids were so anxious to hear who won!

So were the parents!
