In Spanish, "Pollo Loco" means "Crazy Chicken", and the Auto Drive-Through-only service didn't make it any more appealing. Thinking it was a worse version of KFC, we avoided it for months. A Spanish teacher told us to give it another try, telling us that it wasn't fried chicken. And so we did. And now we're pretty much addicted.
Picture this feast:
Grilled quarter chicken; a stack of fresh, warm tortillas; fresh guacamole; fresh tomato and jalapeno salsa; and crisp tortilla chips. All for 28 pesos. That's ~$2.80USD.
I'm salivating just imagining the food. For that price, you'd have to be "loco" not to have some Pollo Loco.
