Onto Kuala Lumpur
For the rest of our 7 days in Malaysia, we spent it in the big city of KL. We loved it there for its many malls, which is how we spent most of our time. We also got to do the one thing I wanted to do – batiking, which is a form of art where you use hot wax to paint the outline of your picture on a piece of silk, then you use watered-down paint to bleed it into each area of your painting. I have to say that the wax part was too frustrating for me, and after Kris spilled a bunch onto his toes, we were more than happy to let our teacher do the rest of the outline for us. The end result was something I was super proud of! We also went to the Twin Towers, where there was an awesome shopping mall. And at the very end, we got to see a Malaysian rainforest – inside the airport!!! They built a biodome sort of thing in the middle of one of the terminals, and you can walk right in and be part of nature as you await your flight!
