Yay for me!

A little 7-year-old made my day today.

After recess, she comes up to me and says in a quiet little voice, "Mrs. K? Are you teaching second grade next year?"

I shook my head no, and she said, "No? I want to be in your class next year. My mom's going to ask if I can be in your class."

I had no idea who she was before today, nor do I recall ever seeing her before, but she sure made me feel like I was on top of the world!!
