Nobel Prize Will Visit Instituto San Roberto

January 2007, Instituto San Roberto, San Agustin Campus - The Nobel Peace Prize, Rigoberta Menchú, will visit Instituto San Roberto and will take part in the Model of United Nations event. Her visit is part of ISR´s 25th Anniversary celebrations.

Unfortunate mistake, yet funny. I went to hear Rigoberta Menchú speak. She is one amazing lady - her father and mother and brother all died from some sort of martyr-like deaths, and she has basically been exiled from Guatemala for fighting for the rights of the indigenous people. She received the Nobel Peace Price when she was only 33 years old. How many people at that age have come even remotely close to receiving such an honour???
