CAN'T COME TO SCHOOL!
Uh-oh! It's only +4C (39F)! What are we going to do?? We should all huddle up inside our houses and not go out - it's much too dangerous when it's this cold!
I had 9 kids show up (of 25) and Kris had 13 (of 26). Yep, our brave students. I think the new admissions test for the school should be allowing only students who brave the fierce weather to stay! :)
It's all a big laugh - we couldn't teach anything, all sports were cancelled, the Catechism classes were cancelled, and they had to stay inside for recess cause it's much too cold (despite the kids' massive down-filled ski jackets, toques, scarves and mitts).
We'll see what happens tomorrow. We had a notice from the coordinator saying that the Values classes might be cancelled because the moms who run the classes "are having a hard time coming because of the cold."
What do I know anyway? I don't own an expensive car and my life isn't consumed by beauty treatments.
Maybe Jaguars and Hummers don't run when it's below 5C and their spa consultants have told them that cold weather will be detrimental to their skin.
