The Not-So-Wild West

The drive through the Rockies is definitely something to see. We just sat for hours driving and staring out the window at the amazing scenes of nature God has created. Mountains and bright blue lakes, gigantic evergreens and trickling creeks... it was just awesome. We took the Coquihalla Highway, which cost $10 in toll fees, but we think it's definitely worth it if you don't have time for the #1 Highway, and is just as scenic.

The famous Kananaskis Trail - Kris' dad helped build it when he was just a kid!

Somewhere in between Alberta & BC - lush green mountains paired with snow-capped rockies

We arrived in West Vancouver at my Aunt Grace & Uncle David's house. It is a beautiful place - with rooms (and a hot tub!) overlooking the Pacific Ocean. We really appreciated staying there - and my Aunt even put water bottles and towels in the guest bathroom just like a real hotel!!

We took the #1 Highway over the beautiful, but very packed bridge into Surrey to see our good friends Kerby & Anna Court, and their baby girl, Mackenzie.

Kris & Marion and their new blue-eyed baby??!

We met at a local restaurant, The Pantry, on King George, for some breakfast and catch-up time. It was wonderful to see them again, and meet the new baby. It's nice to know that even after 3 years, friendships can still be maintained.

Very Taiwanese - matching outfits - from the head down to the toes!
Anna & Kerby need to get a set for Mackenzie.
