E-Da World

There’s a university near us – at the top of the mountain, about 5 minutes drive from our apartment.
Yes, it’s pretty much in the middle of nowhere, amongst farm fields and such, but soon, it will no longer be all alone.
Why?
Because E-Da World is coming!
Mr. I-Shou, who owns I-Shou University, I-Shou International School, as well as E-Da hospital (though we’re not really sure if that’s his real name or not), has decided to build a massive complex at the top of the mountain in Dashe. It looks like it’s going to have at least two hotels, a huge mall, and a large amusement park. Yep, cause SO many people want to come to Dashe for a retreat.
Not only that, he’s also built a bunch of houses and apartments, some of which are at least 100 ping (that’s the standard measurement for area of houses here in Taiwan – 1 ping = 6 tatami mats, 1 tatami mat = roughly 4 square feet).
To top it all off, he’s named the place “E-Da World.” I think he should add in the word “Fantasy,” cause I think that’s what he’s trying to fulfill.
I’ll keep posting photos as more developments happen!
