Mark & Kris got the brilliant idea to run a half-marathon. I was a really good cheerleader - I think I dreamed many times in my cozy bed about how well they were doing at training 3 times a week, 2 of them at 5:30am. We all came up to Taipei this past weekend and Ben was here too! We had a great time around Taipei 101, which then gave the 2 guys absolutely no sleep. Yet, they finished the half-marathon with their personal bests - both under 2 hours!!! The official results aren't up yet, but I will put them up as soon as they are posted.

Pre-marathon run to Taipei 101, where we saw
these really cute dogs!

The Swarovski Christmas Tree - lots of glitter!

There's the route! And there are the guys freaking out about
the length of the route!!

Mark truly freaking... the part in red
is the marathon route.

The guys trying to find their names in the BOOK.

It wasn't that hard... when they were among the few
with English names... oh,but wait! Who's Mark Griggin?

There were these people in Santa suits waiting to greet
the marathon finishers! Just what you need at the end of
a marathon - a big hug from Santa.

There were A LOT of people - over 100,000 runners, plus
all these spectators!

You could watch people running on this giant TV screen.

What marathon could be without a banana
handing out free calendars?

The boys looking very happy (and not very
exhausted) about their medals!
