On Our Way

Okay, so now that Teacher's College is done, the year wasn't so bad... in fact, it went by pretty quickly! :)
What are we doing now? Lazing around in Toronto. We officially started our journey to Mexico on April 28, with a long layover in Toronto right now. So far, our mileage is 430km (Ottawa to Toronto) - but we'll keep you updated as that will definitely increase in the not-too-distant future.

We're having a great time right now doing absolutely nothing.

Well, at least Kris is. He has a tough time every day, having to make big decisions like whether he should read out on the sunny patio, play video games in the cool, dark basement, or whether he should go play tennis, go for a long run on our many trails, or take his bike for long, leisurely rides. Being work adverse, his biggest concern thus far has been trying not to get too much sun on his fair white skin.

As for Marion, her idea of relaxing was to go get a job (editor's note: nutso!). Actually two jobs!! She's going backwards, doing an online data entry job, and waitressing at a banquet hall. It was hard for her though, because her criteria were stringent. It's funny how many jobs required you to work more than 20 hours per week! Finally, she found one where there was no interview, and really no commitment... the best kind of job!

One last thing. During our days of nothingness, we've decided to go house-hunting. We finally found the home of our dreams, and are currently accepting donations for the down payment (we're also open to anyone who wishes to buy the entire house for us - we'd let you stay there while we're in Mexico!). The house is listed at $749,900 (CANADIAN!!!), so we'd need about $180,000CAD for a 25% down payment. We accept cheques, money orders, and of course, cash.

Hey Guys! Long time no talk! Thanks for updating me on all that has been going on. I should've written sooner, but you know me, not known to be good at keeping in contact - sorry! Mexico eh? Thought maybe it was going to be out in my neck of the woods these days (Hong Kong?), but that's okay, Mexico is awesome!
I'll continue to log on to your blog to keep up to date. Hope T.O. is treating you right! Christine
