Now, I get to live it. And having a baby with no running water is especially fun. We are now on Day 5 with no water. We've had at least some water to brush our teeth, wash our hands, etc., but as of today, we have nothing coming out of the taps!
Luckily, Morrison still has a well, so we are now hauling buckets of water to flush our toilets. I can imagine how much fun it'll be when the baby is covered in poop and I have to try to clean him off. i can't wait.
But, to be thankful:
*Our electricity has come back and seems like it's here to stay. At least we don't have to haul buckets of water up 7 stories!
*I took a quick shower this morning so I don't feel as disgusting.
*There are hair salons in the city that have water and, in Taiwan, you can go in and just get a hair wash and massage.
*I've always wanted to go to the "Oh Ya Motel" (whose logo is a white cross with three red droplets coming out of it!), so maybe we'll go rent a room (I think you can rent by the hour!) and shower.
*I don't have to think about how much garbage we're producing since there's no garbage strike.
BUT I'm PRAYING for water to come back on. It's one of those things you don't appreciate until it's gone.
