December 22-30, 2006: Christmas in Elbow
We had a wonderful time in Elbow! The whole family was there, and I got to try lutefisk for the first time and learn to knit! We ate a ton of food - I'm hungry thinking about it! :)

Pretty good summary of our time in Elbow: The boys
hanging out playing with the Game Cube.
Annual Knutson Christmas - Lyle reading
the Christmas story (borrowing Grandpa K's glasses!)
At Grandma and Grandpa's place after the gathering - typical Kris -
watching "It's a Wonderful Life" while everyone else socializes!
Grandpa K helping Isaac put on some huge headphones!
The kids just love opening presents!
We got them a Mexican pinata! Isaac tried...
Then Jack tried.... finally we just had to rip the thing open!
Grandma & Grandpa got Westjet certificates!
The gifts they gave each other - Clog shoes and
a sheepskin seat for the car!
Christmas morning! Check out the massive stockings!

Isaac exclaimed excitement over every little item!
Awesome Christmas meal! Turkey, sweet potatoes, eggnog, mashed
potatoes, peas, stuffing... mmm...
The "men" built this fort.
Going crazy in the beautiful snow!

Mmmm.. My first taste of lutefisk - cod soaked in lye, creating
the jelly-texture, then boiled!
We also had peas and cream, farmer sausage,
and mashed potatoes.
James and Trina and Darin and Marie came over for
supper before we left Saskatchewan. Some final shots of Elbow in Winter:
